Settling and creating the business we love (moving!) in East Tennessee has been a dream come true for Mitchell Moving. Building our Sevierville moving company in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dolly Parton’s home town has been a joy, and we want to share some of that joy with you, our neighbors (or soon-to-be neighbors!).

Our Sevierville moving company is just 15 miles from one of the six entrances to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park where visitors find lush forests, rivers, streams, waterfalls, wildflowers, and wild life along its 800 miles of hiking trails. GSMNP includes over 500,000 acres and 1,500 types of plants, and it is the most visited park in the National Park system. Sixty-nine miles of the Appalachian Trail run through the park that serves as a border between Tennessee and North Carolina. Lucky us, we enjoy the Smoky Mountain scenery through all four seasons. When we’re not helping our neighbors move, you can often find us walking one of the 150 hiking trails in the system. Our favorite destination? Mt. Leconte, of course!

Another Sevierville moving company fun fact? We share a hometown with Dolly Parton, world-famous, chart-topping songwriter and entertainer. Did you now she’s been awarded 25 number one country singles and 7 Grammy awards, among countless other accolades? She’s sold over 100 million records, and her incredible career doesn’t stop there. In 1995, Dolly founded the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which began by distributing books to local Sevier County youth then expanded to national and international distribution. In 2018 the organization celebrated its 100th million book which was dedicated to the Library of Congress! Finally, we can’t celebrate Dolly and not mention Dollywood, the Smoky Mountain themed park that hosts nearly 3 million visitors a year.
